Trademark Law Treaty (TLT)
The Trademark Law Treaty seeks to simplify and harmonize trademark registration procedures across national and regional systems. By standardizing key aspects of these procedures, the Treaty helps make the process of filing and managing trademark applications in multiple jurisdictions more straightforward and predictable.
Most of the TLT’s provisions focus on the operations of trademark offices and cover three primary stages:
