Ever since the inauguration of its IPR Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain, it has been a member of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property and has accordingly adopted the Madrid System for the registration of Trademarks. The Kingdom of Bahrain follows the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks under the Nice Agreement, right after its official affiliation with WIPO in 1995.
