Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as hands-on experience with the Odoo system. - Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the Senior Accountant in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Enter and update financial data in the Odoo system accurately.
- Maintain organized records and ensure data integrity within the accounting software.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with the Odoo accounting system is required.
•Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Odoo accounting software systems.
• Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus but not required.
