Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for both hardware and software, manage IT infrastructure, and ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations across the organization. You will work closely with all departments to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and improve overall IT performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Manage system upgrades, security patches, and routine maintenance of systems and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain IT security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including hardware inventories, software licenses, and technical processes.
  • Manage backup systems and disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection.
  • Support the setup and configuration of user accounts, email, and access permissions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and optimize existing systems.
  • Provide training and assistance to staff on IT systems and best practices.
  • Maintain and support the company's cloud infrastructure, including Office 365, G Suite, or equivalent.
  • Handle procurement of IT equipment and software as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, IT Technician, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, Office 365, AWS, or similar.
  • Experience with network management (LAN, WAN, VPNs) and security protocols.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, MySQL).
