UAE Reduces IP Services Fees by 25 Percent
Covid-19 is the proverbial nail in 2020’s coffin, having grinded the cogs working the world to a near halt. Whole sectors of the economy have been retired and many industries have been rendered obsolete. As a result, governments have responded to lessen the impact as much as possible and to offer economic relief to businesses strained by the pandemic’s ramifications.
To illustrate, the UAE government has reacted by issuing a 25 percent reduction across all Intellectual Property services from April 5, 2020.
The primary reason is due to the need for social distancing to ensure safety. The UAE Intellectual Property Office, in collaboration with the courts and other government entities in charge of registration and enforcement of IP rights, has taken the necessary measures.
